Moving And Other Stuff!

Wow, well all I can say is welcome to my first blog entry.

For those of your that haven't guessed already my name is Ian and I run the popular website www.scifipulse.net as well as the podcast SFP-NOW.com.

Now don't get me wrong. As much as I love running those two sites. I sometimes feel the need to vent and open up about myself. So I figured why not try a blog about me. Not much to tell about me really. I'm single and don't mind being that way and at the moment am in the process of starting a new chapter in my life, which starts off on April 28 with a hop, skip and a jump to a new address.

For the last few weeks its been crazy with me packing up boxes and stuff and finding stuff that I didn't even know I had. Such as old photos from college as well as video games from when I was into the PC gaming in those days prior to me writing for the website and such.

I'm very much looking forward to my move. Its not to far from where I am now, but its a move insofar as it represents a fresh start for myself.

You see soon as I get settled am hoping to launch a little online shop, which will run seperate but be sort of linked in with my other websites and podcasts and things. The plan with the store is hopefully to take it on tour around the UK. Which will be fun and games given that I do not own a car or drive. Also be bloody expensive given that I am living in rip off Britain where the train fares are three times higher than the rest of Europe. Never been able to figure out why the train fares are so extortionate here! But hey its the way things are and with the government we have in at present. It's unlikely to change. Just don't get me started on politicians and politics. My thoughts are that most politicians just do not live in the real world. I mean take for example PastyGate last week. Our beloved Prime Minister "Call Me Dave" had a cunning plan to add VAT (Value Added Tax or Sales Tax for American Readers) to Hot Pies and Pasties. Now there was a problem with this. They could only add the tax if the pies were piping hot. Now as you know when you get anything from a Bakery the heat of each pie and thing will vary depending on how long it has been out of the oven, but here's the funny part. Uncle Dave the Prime Minister when asked about the last time he ate a pastie referenced a store he had one at oop north, which apparently has been out of business for over five years. Go figure. He may look like he's been living the good life, but obviously not on working class style food like pasties.

It amazes me how out of touch these people are.

Anyway, I better call it a night with this. I may pop back in a few days. You never know. Easter is usually a quite time for me. Either way am off to have a nice sausage roll along with whatever else I may care to scoff from me fridge. May have to watch that my cat Sasha does try to get in like he did last night. I swear that cat can be hilarious at times.
